the Foundation

The George A. Horton Memorial Foundation, a Florida not-for-profit corporation, was founded in memory of George Allen Horton to provide educational scholarships to students who demonstrate appropriate need and merit. The purpose of this Foundation is to carry on George’s memory through scholastic scholarships at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School and through The George Snow Foundation, which provides college scholarships to local high school students that intend to pursue a construction industry related degree. The Foundation’s sole purpose is to raise funds through fundraising activities, such as this Golf Tournament, and contribute those funds to provide educational scholarships. Please help us in carrying on George’s memory by doing what he did best in life, providing a better future for all children.

Over the past two and a half years, the George A. Horton Memorial Foundation has funded three scholarships at St. Joan of Arc School and three scholarships through The George Snow Foundation. This year’s recipients recently were awarded their scholarships by members of the George A. Horton Memorial Foundation (see below). With your generous contributions and help, we intend to continue funding these and many more scholarships for years to come. Thank you!
